Reconstituted surfactant is obtained, comprising a phospholipid mixture and a combination of certain analogues of the native surfactant protein SP-C with analogues of the native surfactant protein SP-B, which is used in pharmaceutical compositions and kits for the treatment or prophylaxis of respiratory distress syndrome in premature infants and other respiratory disorders.
