FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to highly concentrated anhydrous amine salts of hydrocarbon polyalkoxy sulfates, these salts being selected from the group of substituted amines, preferably alkanolamines. Highly concentrated and fluid at 25°C composition of amine salts of hydrocarbon polyalkoxy sulfates for storage and transportation in the form of a highly concentrated composition and application for enhanced oil recovery after dilution contains (A) more than 80 wt% amine salts of hydrocarbon polyalkoxy sulfates of formula R4-O-[EO,PO,AO]n-SO3-HNR1R2R3+, where one, two or three of the substituents R1, R2 and R3 are independently selected from the group consisting of alkyl having from 1 to 14 carbon atoms, alkenyl having from 3 to 18 carbon atoms, hydroxyalkyl containing 3 or 4 carbon atoms, two or three substituents are hydroxyalkyls having 2 carbon atoms, and mixtures thereof, wherein the hydroxyalkyl may be alkoxylated, and wherein each of the remaining substituents is hydrogen; and R4 is one or more different hydrocarbons containing from 10 to 36 carbon atoms; optionally in a mixture with less than 20 wt% of said amine salts of hydrocarbon polyalkoxy sulfates in which the alkoxy groups are exclusively EO groups; (B) at least 0.1 to less than 5 wt% of the non-sulfated polyalkoxylated hydrocarbon R4-O-[EO,PO,AO]n-H or mixture; (C) to less than 5 wt% of the non-sulfated hydroxyhydrocarbon R4-OH or mixtures; wherein (B) and (C) together comprise from 0.1 to 10 wt% of the composition; wherein the composition contains less than 2 wt% water, and the number of n-alkoxy groups of EO, PO, AO is in the range of 1 to 16, and the alkoxy groups are selected from 1 to 16 propoxy groups (PO) and optionally one or more of 0 to 15 ethoxy groups (EO) and 0 to 10 alkyleneoxy groups (AO) containing 4 to 12 carbon atoms, and the alkoxy groups are distributed statistically or grouped into blocks, or both. Products obtained have a low viscosity and are pumpable at room temperature. Owing to the absence of water, the salts are highly hydrolysis-stable, even at high temperatures.

EFFECT: invention relates to the use of water diluted compositions of the present invention in oil fields in order to provide more efficient oil recovery or to extract hydrocarbons from oil sands or other surfaces or materials containing hydrocarbons.
