FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of navigation systems and can be used for the land mobile objects positioning. Said result is achieved due to the fact, that the mobile object positioning method is implemented on the basis of information from two or more spaced apart video cameras, which optical axes placement and location is known, used to stop subversive and terrorist activities using high-speed ground vehicles, at that, with the potentially dangerous object appearance, the operators periodically fixing the video image and marking the object with the mouse, and the object's velocity vector location and parameters calculation is based on the last three measurements from one of the observation points and one measurement from another point, using the object's path interpolation.
EFFECT: increase in the mobile object positioning accuracy, as well as facilitating the information entry procedure by operators by fixing the image and using the “mouse”, as well as use of the interpolation, which minimizes the time mismatch error of entered by operators information.
