METHOD OF MOVABLE OBJECT POSITIONING BASED ON VIDEO IMAGES Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC G01S5/04

Abstract RU 2696009 C1

FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of navigation systems and can be used for positioning of ground mobile objects based on video information obtained from two and more spatially spaced video cameras. Said result is achieved due to the fact that when a potentially dangerous object appears, operators perform the intersection on the video camera, fixing the video image of the selected object by the key and marking the object with the mouse, triggering automatic tracking of the object and obtaining its display coordinates, consisting in that, first, based on the analysis of the area of the resection, identifying characteristic features of the object are determined, and then, based on characteristic features, tracking an object in a video stream and finding its display coordinates, using which determine the direction angles to the object and navigation parameters of the object. Conventional characters with the number of the corresponding object are applied on the screen of the operator's computer on the design display coordinates of the projection of the object. Calculation of position and parameters of velocity vector is started immediately after manual marking of object by both operators. At that, in case of visual mismatch on the PC screen of the projected projection of the object with its video image, the operator repeats manual marking of the object, on which its navigation parameters are corrected.

EFFECT: technical result is high accuracy of moving object positioning, reduced time of its capture, possibility of tracking traces of several objects simultaneously and facilitation of operators work due to mainly automatic tracking of previously fixed video images of objects.
