FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: stepwise transverse capacitive compensation device is included between buses of 27.5 kV and a rail and contains the series-connected first circuit-breaker of 27.5 kV, the first section of the condenser battery, an inrush resistor, the second and the third circuit breakers of 10 kV, and a filter reactor. The installation introduces a chain of series-connected the second section of the condenser battery with the consistently connected third breaker of 10 kV, shunted by the fourth breaker, wherein one terminal of the fourth breaker is connected to the connection point of the first section of the capacitor battery with a starting resistor, and the second terminal of the fourth breaker is connected to the first terminal of the filter reactor, the second terminal of which is connected to the rail.
EFFECT: increasing the efficiency of stepwise power control of a stepwise transverse capacitive compensation device with the activation of the starting resistor in parallel with the reactor and providing the possibility to force a capacitive compensation mode with the least overvoltage in commutation.
