SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electric power industry. The installation of stepped transverse capacitive compensation is connected between the 27.5 kV buses and the rail and contains the first 27.5 kV switch connected in series, the first and second sections of the capacitor bank, a starting resistor, the second, third and fourth 10 kV switches, as well as a filter reactor. To achieve the technical result, a damping resistor is introduced into the installation, connected between the rail and the second terminal of the fourth switch, the second terminal of the third switch is connected to the first terminal of the second section of the capacitor bank, and the first terminal of the reactor is connected to the second terminal of the second section of the capacitor bank.
EFFECT: increasing the reliability of the installation of stepwise transverse capacitive compensation by increasing the operational efficiency of stepwise power control.
