FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a phenol resin foam which comprises a phenol resin, a hydrocarbon having 6 or fewer carbon atoms, and at least one halogenated hydroolefin selected from the group consisting of 1-chloro-3,3,3-trifluoropropene, 1,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene and 1,1,1,4,4,4-hexafluoro-2-butene. Foam has a density of 20 kg/m3 or more, and 40.3 kg/m3 or less wherein the sum of contents of the hydrocarbon, having 6 or fewer carbon atoms, and the content of the halogenated hydroolefin is 0.26 to 0.88 mol, the content of the hydrocarbon is 0.03 to 0.85 mol, and the content of the hydrocarbon, having 6 or fewer carbon atoms, is 0.04 to 0.78 mol, and the content of the halogenated hydroolefin is 0.06 to 0.80 mol per 22.4×10-3 m3 the space volume of the phenol resin foam, the closed cell ratio is 90% or more, average cell diameter is 50 mcm or 200 mcm, and the void area ratio is 0.21% or less.
EFFECT: technical result is a reduced environmental load, excellent thermal insulation performance for a long period of time by using a foaming agent, ozone depletion potential of which is substantially zero, the global warming potential of which is very low.
