FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to rail transport and concerns the design of a freight gondola car. Railway gondola car contains chassis (2) and body (1) with frame (3). End walls include horizontal belts and corner posts. Side walls include sheets of corner posts (12), pivot posts (13) and intermediate posts (14) fitted with the corresponding frame beams, and intermediate posts (17) without being fitted with transverse beams of the frame. Each intermediate post (17) is installed between pivot (13) and subsequent intermediate post (14) fitted with an intermediate frame beam. In each cantilever part (18) of the side wall, cantilever posts (19) are installed without being fitted with transverse beams of the frame. Posts (13, 14, 17, 19) are installed in a certain dimensional sequence. Distance from the axis of cantilever post (19) to the axis of any of intermediate posts (14 and 17) located on the other side wall is 0.75–0.97 of the distance between the axes of pivot (13) posts.
EFFECT: invention provides decrease in the load in the structural elements and in their connection assemblies at the moment of supporting the loaded gondola car on the parking walls of the car dumper.
