SUBSTANCE: invention refers to computer technology and relay protection technology, and is intended for automation of the process of collecting information on the status of connections and switches of the monitoring and control facility. Multiprocessor information and control system of relay protection and automation contains the microprocessor-based converter, N optical splitters, which are connected in series by the fiber-optic communication line by means of connecting the first group of inputs and outputs of the bth optical splitter (where b=1…N-1) with the second group of inputs-outputs (b+1) of the optical splitter, as well as N communication assemblies and N processing devices, wherein the information input and output of the microprocessor converter are connected to the third group of the corresponding optical splitter, and the information inputs-outputs of the N communication assembly are connected to the third group of N-inputs of the optical splitter, each processing device comprises the appropriately connected processing unit and two interface assemblies to the line, and the microprocessor converter contains two amplifiers, which are appropriately connected to each other, the microprocessor, the AND element, the converter of electrical signals to optical signals and the optical signal converter into the electrical ones.

EFFECT: technical result is the increased speed of reception and transmission of information in the information network of the system, as well as the improved reliability of information reception and transmission in the multiprocessor information and control system of relay protection and automation.
