FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: use: in electric power engineering. Relay protection and automation device of electric network node includes: optical pulse generators, frequency of which depends on values of instantaneous values of voltages, currents or statuses of switching devices of electric network, optical communication channels, through which pulses are transmitted to optical ports of microprocessor calculator, microprocessor computer performing recalculation of pulse frequencies in instantaneous values of electric network parameters and performing, in compliance with the laid algorithm, generation of preset frequency through output optical ports of pulses for transmission thereof via communication channels to switching elements of electric network, changing their status depending on frequency of coming pulses.
EFFECT: rejection of volumetric cabling and possibility of concentration of all protection and control functions in one device.
