FIELD: pharmaceuticals.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the pharmaceutical industry, namely to the use of a complex of water-soluble polysaccharides with a molecular weight of 1151, 615 and 41 kD, isolated from the grass of an aquatic plant of duckweed, as a means for selectively activating immunological reactions of the Th1 type, stimulation of production of Th1 specific cytokines IL-12, TNF-α and IFN-γ. Use of a complex of water-soluble polysaccharides with a molecular mass of 1151, 615 and 41 kDa, isolated from the grass of an aquatic plant of duckweed, as a means for selectively activating Th1-type immunological reactions, stimulating the production of Th1 specific IL-12 cytokines, TNF-α and IFN-γ, obtained by extracting the grass with a solution of purified water and concentrated HCl with pH 4.0 when heated in a boiling water bath and periodically stirred, filtered and evaporated on a rotary evaporator to 1/5 of the original volume, with the addition of a three-fold volume of 96 % ethanol and settling, followed by filtration of the precipitate through a paper filter and dissolving in purified water, while stirring with a magnetic stirrer, separating the undissolved residue by centrifugation, dialyzing the supernatant through a semipermeable membrane, and stirring with a magnetic stirrer, further freezing the resulting solution and freeze-drying it under certain conditions.
EFFECT: above-described complex of water-soluble polysaccharides is effective as a means for selectively activating Th1-type immunological reactions, stimulating production of Th1 specific cytokines IL-12, TNF-α and IFN-γ.
