Disclosed is the use of water-soluble humic acids recovered from highmoor peat Magellanicum with average molecular weight 4,871.2 Da, weight-average molecular weight 18,755.3, polydispersity 3.9 and median 9,558.3 Da, as an agent for stimulating development of Th1-dependent immune response by controlling the balance of activation of pro-inflammatory properties of macrophages secreting IL-1β, IL-12 and TNF-α cytokines, and anti-inflammatory properties of macrophages, which produce IL-10 cytokines.

EFFECT: invention provides an immunomodulatory agent of natural origin, having low toxicity and ability of selective stimulation of production by macrophages of interleukin-1 beta, interleukin-12, tumor necrosis factor-alpha and lymphocytes of interferon-gamma.
