FIELD: antenna equipment.
SUBSTANCE: antenna device based on the Luneburg lens contains a coaxial set of round axisymmetric dielectric elements of varying thickness and variable diameter. Set of dielectric elements is made in the form of a set of coaxial cylinders of the same height, installed with annular gaps with respect to each other. Diameter and thickness of the walls of said cylinders are determined in accordance with the distribution of the effective dielectric constant characteristic of the Luneburg lens of cylindrical shape. Thickness of the cylinders walls monotonically decreases from the center to the periphery, and the annular clearance between the walls of the cylinders increases monotonically. In an embodiment, the antenna device comprises a half-wave vibrator, the half-wave vibrator is made in the form of two continuous semicircles arranged in the same plane and facing each other with their chords, and is located in close proximity to the outer coaxial cylinder of said set, the chords of the semicircles being perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the device.
EFFECT: invention can be used to create small-size antennas.
