FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to antenna engineering and specifically to devices for focusing when transmitting radio waves in the centimetre and millimetre ranges. Technical result is achieved by the fact that the frequency-independent flat Luneburg lens, implemented in the form of a set of N radially oriented dielectric lobes, placed between the metal substrates, one of the substrates is connected to a stepper motor connected to the control unit and including an irradiator, operating range of which is set in the control unit is characterized by that the upper metal substrate is movable by means of a stepper motor by means of a control signal from the control unit, which is generated taking into account the current operating frequency range of the irradiator.
EFFECT: creation of a flat Luneburg lens with an overlapping coefficient of the operating frequency range of more than five, that is frequency-independent, implemented in the form of a set of N radially oriented dielectric lobes.
