VENT-SAFETY VALVE Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

Abstract RU 2142592 C1

FIELD: disposal of excess gases from cryogenic fuel tanks at an increase of pressure in them above the permissible value, applicable in pneumo- hydraulic systems of any branch of mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: the vent- safety valve has a body inlet and outlet channels and vent cavity, seat and seal with packings connected to the rod of the control valve, bellows assembly, detachable intermediate body and a regulating device. The bellows assembly is connected to the seal and has internal and external cavities. The external cavity of the bellow assembly communicates with the atmosphere. The valve is furnished with two inlet and one outlet blow-off pipe connections, tie-rod located in the internal cavity of the bellows assembly. The tie-rod kinematically joints the seal to the control valve rod by means of the hinge- joints made at its ends and lower flanged and upper adapters. The adapters form clearances in the axial direction, respectively, by the internal end of the upper adapter and flanging made on the end face of the control valve and internal end of the seal and flanging of the lower adapter. An inlet and one outlet blow-off connections are installed in the detachable intermediate body. They communicate with the internal cavity of the bellows assembly. The outlet connection communicates with the atmosphere. The valve body accommodates also the second inlet blow-off connection. It communicates with the outlet channel through the vent cavity. The external surface of the vent-safety valve is coated with heat-insulating material. The control valve has a radial packing in the form of a fluoroplastic ring with a tab located on the piston of the control valve. The regulating device is made in the form of a nut and bush with bosses and located in the detachable intermediate body for axial movement. EFFECT: considerably simplified design, reduced mass, enhanced reliability. 4 cl, 1 dwg
