FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of LED lighting systems. Result is achieved by the fact that LED device (10) comprises at least two branches electrically installed in parallel and each containing LED, wherein first branch (11) comprises first LED (LED1) and second branch (12) comprises second LED (LED2) and first detection means (DET1) configured to detect the failure of said first LED. LED device further comprises current controller (REG1) electrically mounted as a branch from said first LED (LED1), and switching circuit (COM1) controlled by said detection means for alternately disconnecting a current passing through said first LED or said current controller, respectively, depending on whether or not the detected detection means detects the failure of said first LED.
EFFECT: technical result is to prevent disconnection of the entire branch containing the faulty LED or faulty LEDs resulting in an increase in the current strength passing through the other branches, which can cause damage to the LEDs of these other branches and shorten their service life.
