FIELD: lighting.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to LED light sources. More specifically, the invention relates to LED light sources equipped with a waiting function. Result is achieved by the fact that LED light source comprises input terminals (K1, K2) for connection to power supply voltage source, rectifier (RB) connected to input terminals, for rectification of main supply voltage supplied by source of main supply voltage, and comprising output leads of rectifier, converter (CONV) of direct current to direct current for creation of direct current due to rectified supply voltage, comprising input terminals of converter connected to output terminals of rectifier, and comprising converter first output terminal (A) and converter second output terminal (B), LED load (LL) with anode connected to converter first output lead through first current control element (D5) for blocking current flowing from anode of LED load in converter first output terminal, and with cathode connected to second output terminal of converter via first controlled switch (M1), having control electrode connected to first control circuit to bring said controlled switch into non-conductive state in case, when the LED light source is in standby mode, thereby the LED load cathode is connected to the first controlled switch (M1) through the second current control element (D) for blocking current flowing from the first controlled switch (M1) to the LED load cathode.

EFFECT: technical result is providing a light-emitting diode light source with reduced residual illumination.
