FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical technique, namely to puncture needle with ultrasound guidance, and can be used to perform puncture of various anatomical formations, in particular blood vessels, human or animals. Puncture needle is made of elastic material. Puncture needle comprises a head, a hollow tube with a point in the distal part, a corrugated outer surface of the tube near the distal portion, containing alternating rows of protrusions and grooves designed to repel ultrasonic waves. Inner surface of the distal end of the needle tube, in the region of the point, is corrugated.
EFFECT: use of the invention provides increased clarity of the echo-image of the end of the needle on the ultrasound scanner screen and reduction of the risk of post-puncture complications.
