FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves delivering drugs to the liver through catheter introduced into a branch of the portal vein. The catheter is set on conductor under ultrasonic examination control through the right branch of the portal vein into its main trunk. The conductor is introduced into the main trunk of the portal vein through hollow piercing member that is used for transcutaneously and transhepatically puncturing the main trunk of the portal vein. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment.
