FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, particularly to anaesthesiology and resuscitation. Method comprises preliminary measuring of longitudinal length of the end section of the needle. Minimum diameter of the vein is being determined by scanning in M-mode for 15 seconds. Obtained values are being used to calculate the angle of inclination of the needle to the vein. Then, the vein is being punctured at an angle to its upper wall, which does not exceed the calculated value, the needle is being introduced in the vein at depth equal to the longitudinal length of the end section.
EFFECT: method provides reducing a risk of through vein puncture, injured nerves, vessels, pleura and formation of intense hematoma.
