FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: catheterisation area is scanned with ultrasound continuously; a puncture point and direction of the needle advance in tissues are selected. A venous wall is punctured with a puncture needle, and a J-guide is inserted while the patient exhales.
EFFECT: method provides reducing the risk of jugular catheterisation complications and eliminating a perforating wound of the vein, due to the fact that the venous wall distance while the patient exhales is the greatest.
