SUBSTANCE: invention relates to car building and refers the construction of seats, in particular, of the subway cars. Rail vehicle folding passenger seat comprises a base (1) frame, connected to the seat folding part frame (2), the backrest cushion, the seat cushion and mechanism for the seat folding part turning and its returning to the original position, made in the form of a spring, consisting of a set of springs, clamped in the first axis, fixed relative to the base frame, and in the second axis fixed to the seat folding part frame (2). Provided is the seat lock in the horizontal position, made in the form of corners (31) and adjustable bolts (32), located on the base (1) frame horizontal beams on the backrest side. To ensure the seat folding part guaranteed return to its original position, provision is made for the spring pre-twisting due to the second axis to the bushing 12 threaded connection.

EFFECT: invention improves the seat performance by seat folding part turning and automatic returning to the folded position.
