SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and a user equipment for processing received radio link control (RLC) protocol of data units (PDUs). In the method, a radio link control entity (RLC) is established to process the first RLC protocol data unit (PDU), when the first RLC PDU for the RLC entity is received from the peer UE on the forward interface between the UE and the peer UE, each of the RLC variable states to be used for the established RLC entity is initiated by setting the corresponding initial value, corresponding initial value being the sequence number (SN) of the RLC of the first RLC PDU for an RLC entity, and processing the first RLC PDU using the initiated RLC state variables, the first RLC PDU for the RLC entity being the RLC PDU received first before the RLC PDU, as any other RLC PDUs will be received by the RLC entity from the peer UE on the forward interface.

EFFECT: technical result is consists in processing of data blocks of the RLC PDU protocol.
