SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the drilling of proximal wells and can be used to detect one well in the construction of another. In particular, there is provided a method for locating a first borehole structure with respect to a second borehole structure, comprising the following steps: alternately charging the first set of capacitors while discharging the second set of capacitors into the first downhole structure and discharging the first set of capacitors into the first well construction while charging the second set of capacitors; detecting, from the second borehole structure, magnetic field pulses corresponding to the discharge of the first and second sets of capacitors into the first borehole structure; determining information relating to the location of the first borehole structure with respect to the second borehole structure based on the detected magnetic field pulses. System for implementing this method is also provided.

EFFECT: technical result is the expansion of the arsenal of technical means for locating wells with respect to each other.
