FIELD: defectoscopy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of nondestructive testing and diagnostics of the technical condition of structures. When the method is implemented, acceleration sensors are mounted on the diagnosed structure. By using one or more independent vibration sources, vibrations are created in the controlled structure. Vibration response of the structure, fixed by the acceleration sensors, is represented in the form of vibration portraits: the vertical scan is made in proportion to the signal of the acceleration sensor, and the horizontal scan is proportional to the first harmonic of this signal. Fourier transformation is applied to the scan of the vibration portrait. First harmonic is subtracted from the Fourier series, the absolute maximum is determined for the period of the oscillations in the remainder of the series, the magnitude of this maximum refers to the amplitude of the first harmonic. Ratio is used as an identification feature of structural damage.
EFFECT: increased reliability and informativeness in the assessment of the presence of damage to complex structures.
