FIELD: woodworking industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the woodworking industry, in particular to sawing wood with swinging band saws. Feed motion is carried out by moving the sawn preform at a uniform speed. Main motion is performed in a perpendicular direction to the feed rate vector by cyclically reciprocating the strip saws from the crank mechanism. Each cycle of movement of saws contains two equal in magnitude stroke, one of which is a working stroke, and the other is idle. Band saws installed with a slope are moved additionally in the direction of the feed rate vector along an elliptical or teardrop-shaped closed curve. Saws are initially removed from the bottom of the saw cut, then pushed onto the workpiece, and at the end of the working stroke, the workpiece is again removed from the bottom of the cut. During idling at the start of the saw, the size of the main saw movement, equal to the tooth pitch, is removed from the bottom of the cut of the workpiece. Further, the saws in the idling section are returned to their original initial position.
EFFECT: cut bottom craping with saw teeth is eliminated.
