FIELD: woodworking industry. SUBSTANCE: mechanism uses swinging saw frame 1, whose upper cross-piece 2 is connected to crank mechanism 5 of the main drive by double-arm connecting rods 6, and lower cross-piece 3 is hinge-joined to bed 10 through a twin system of levers 11. Upper cross-piece 2 of saw frame 1 is connected to the upper heads of double-arm connecting rods 6 of crank mechanism 5, and intermediate stops 7 of double-arm connecting rods 8 of the two-rocker four-link mechanisms, whose rockers 9 have equal arms and are hinge-joined to bed 10. The mechanical trajectory of saw teeth has the shape of an irregular ellipse. For an additional approach of saw frame 1 to timber, arm length a of three-hinge T-shaped connecting rods 8 in the middle part of its working stroke is so selected that deflection r of the working branch of the irregular ellipse from the straight line toward the feed is 3 to 4 mm. EFFECT: decreased irregularity of feed for each saw tooth, enhanced efficiency of sawing. 3 cl, 2 dwg, 2 tbl
