FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions that discloses a method for determining object parameters and a device for implementation thereof, relates to methods for differential-phase profilometry and is used for express analysis to determine the number and size of particles in oils, transparent substances and biological media. Method for determining object parameters and a device for implementation thereof is realized by directly measuring the phase of a variable component of the photocurrent with frequency Δf between the frequency parameters of each of a pair of frequency-spread and spaced scanning light beams reflected from the surface of the object under study (or transmitted through it) and by reconstructing the relief representation of the surface of the object under study or constructing its "refraction map" (density distribution).
EFFECT: possibility of investigating both opaque and transparent objects is provided.
