FIELD: radar ranging and radio navigation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering and can be used to determine the location of the source of radio emission (SRE) from the flight-lifting means by the passive radar method. Technical result is achieved by selective (in two stages) processing of the input signal stream. At the first stage, the region with the largest concentration of intersection points of curves of the second order (hyperbola) is roughly determined. In the second stage, only within the framework of this region, the SRE coordinates are calculated with a given accuracy on the basis of the difference in the arrival times of the signals, taking into account the signal-to-noise ratio. Device for determining the coordinates of the SRE implementing the method comprises two or more receiving points on the UAV in the antenna receiving module, the memory unit, the radio navigator, the communication and control means of the UAV, and a ground station consisting of the first automated workstation (AWS) intended for flight control of the UAV and the second AWS intended for calculating coordinates. Second AWS includes a primary signal processing path, a coordinate calculation path, a communication module, and a correlator with the appropriate connections.
EFFECT: technical result achieved is to reduce the time required to determine the coordinates of the SRE while maintaining the accuracy characteristics.
