FIELD: poultry processing industry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to the poultry processing industry, namely to the treatment of slaughtered poultry transported to the slaughter line. Method and apparatus for treating slaughtered poultry (1, 2, 3, 4) transported to slaughter line (5) of the slaughterhouse allow bird (1, 2, 3, 4) to be identified at the beginning of this slaughter line, either alive or dead, when entering the slaughterhouse, which includes determining the parameters of the body of the slaughtered poultry, when, after its stunning, the bird is suspended from the feet on slaughter line (5), and the absorption spectrum of the blood of the slaughtered poultry is determined (1, 2, 3, 4).
