SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a smoking article which comprises an aerosol generating substrate; mouthpiece; and a wrapper wrapped around a portion of the mouthpiece and a portion of the substrate to secure the mouthpiece to the substrate, wherein wrapper comprises a sheet material, wherein the wrapper is wrapped around the mouthpiece and the substrate; and a window in the sheet material, wherein any straight segment of the window perimeter forming an angle of less than 10° with respect to the second direction has a length of less than 0.5 millimeters; wherein any curved portion of the perimeter having a continuum of tangents, each of which forms an angle of less than 10° with respect to the second direction, has a length of less than 0.5 millimeters; wherein said straight segments and curved perimeter portions are separated by a distance of at least 0.5 millimeter along the length of the perimeter; wherein the perimeter includes at least one straight segment forming an angle of less than 10 degrees with respect to the second direction and having a length of less than 0.5 millimeters; and the window has a width of at least about 2 millimeters.
EFFECT: technical result consists in preventing peeling of the wrapper from the smoking article.
