FIELD: tobacco industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the tobacco industry and namely to smoking articles. The smoking article has a substrate generating aerosol and a mouthpiece attached to the downstream end of the aerosol generating substrate. The mouthpiece has the first hollow tubular segment of elastically deformable material and the second hollow tubular segment which is adjacent to the first hollow tubular segment and is located upstream of it. The second hollow tubular segment forms a cavity for receiving the insertion element. The first hollow tubular segment forms an opening through which the insertable element is allowed to pass from the outside of the mouthpiece into the cavity of the second hollow tubular segment. At least a part of the first hollow tubular segment extends into the opening to form at least one elastically deformable protrusion. Also disclosed is the implementation of a mouthpiece for a smoking article.

EFFECT: invention reduces the risk of damage to the inserted element.
