SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an aerosol-generating article which contains an aerosol-generating substrate; a mouthpiece attached to an aerosol-generating substrate, the mouthpiece comprising at least one filter segment and a substantially transparent tubular segment aligned with at least one filter segment and abutting therein in the "end-to-end" configuration, and forming empty cavity extending substantially in longitudinal direction through said substantially transparent tubular segment, wherein the aerosol passing through the empty cavity during use of the aerosol-generating article is visible from the outer side of the aerosol-generating article through said substantially transparent tubular segment.

EFFECT: technical result consists in possibility of visual detection of presence of smoke in filter.
