SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an airbag device for a front passenger seat. Device includes: module housing; airbag of the front passenger seat being designed such that in the collapsed state the height of the first airbag section located on the outside of the vehicle, is lower than the height of the second section of the airbag located on the inside of the vehicle, and the widths of the first airbag section and the second airbag section are substantially the same; delivery device that is located on the underside of the module housing; and a lifting member, which is located at the bottom of the module housing and which raises the height of the first abutment surface on which the first airbag section rests, that it was higher than the height of the second abutment surface on which the second airbag section rests, so that the height of the upper surface of the first airbag section is aligned with the height of the upper surface of the second airbag section.
EFFECT: airbag unfolding is stabilized and the manufacturing technology is improved.
