FIELD: radar ranging and radio navigation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of radar detection and location and can be used to carry out the tracking of mobile maneuvering radio emission sources (RES) with the help of airborne single-position electronic reconnaissance systems (ERS). This result is achieved due to the fact that in ERS the values of the azimuths and angles of the RES are measured, on the basis of which, using the expanded Kalman filter, the estimation of coordinates of the RES state and the variance of the estimation errors of the corresponding coordinates are calculated, while the distinctive feature of the method is the RES state model used, which assumes that RES can maneuver only in the horizontal plane, while maintaining a module-constant velocity.
EFFECT: stable tracking of airborne maneuvering RES.
