FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology, specifically to isolated cis-regulatory elements for imparting pathogen inducibility to a promoter, a chimeric promoter having pathogen inducibility, a recombinant gene for expression in a plant cell after contact with a pathogen expressing a vector to increase plant resistance to pathogens, where the pathogen is a fungus or oomycete. Invention also provides a prokaryotic or eukaryotic cell for producing a plant with increased resistance to pathogens, a transgenic plant to reduce the risk of infection by a pathogen, plant seed for plant cultivation with reduced risk of infection, plant tissue for in vitro cultivation, part of the plant to reduce the risk of infection with a pathogen, a method for creating a transgenic plant, a method for pathogen-induced expression of an endogenous gene in a plant cell under the control of a native promoter, a plant cell and a plant capable of pathogenically inducible expression of an endogenous gene.
EFFECT: invention provides a technique for creating a transgenic plant, in particular a pathogen resistant plant, where the pathogen is a fungus or oomycete.
