SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the infrared data points cloud and the color components data points cloud mixing. Method comprises stages, at which: receiving the infrared image data corresponding to the infrared image plane, and having the infrared data points; receiving the color components data corresponding to this image plane, having the color components data points; determining area in the infrared image data, which is sparse area in terms of the infrared data points presence therein; and adding some color components data corresponding to the color components data points from the analog area in the color components data to the data structure, which includes infrared data points and the color components data points with associated values, from which the depth can be determined.

EFFECT: technical result is provision of the depth data estimation in the areas, where the infrared data is sparse.
