FIELD: valves production.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to valve manufacturing and can be used as a shut-off valve for working media with high pressure and high temperature. Device for protecting the middle cavity of the valve against overpressure comprises a housing with an internal cavity communicating with the inlet and outlet channels and the communication channel with the middle cavity of the valve, and two located in the internal cavity of the body and pivotally connected to each other spool. Spools comprise means for centering their position in the inner cavity of the body along the axis of the inlet and outlet channels and arranged to freely co-move in the inner cavity of the body in the direction of lower pressure of the working medium under the influence of greater pressure in the inlet or outlet channel and hermetically self-sealing overlapping by one of the spools respectively of the output or input channel with a lower pressure by sealing the corresponding sealing surface of the spool and the sealing surface of the inlet or outlet channel.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at increasing the reliability of the operation of the device for protecting the middle cavity of the valve against overpressure and wedge gate valves with a protection device.
