FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering and power electronics and can be used to regulate and stabilize the voltage in household and industrial electrical networks of alternating current. Single-phase AC voltage regulator containing controllable switches and a booster transformer whose secondary winding is connected to the first terminal of the supply network in series with the load, and the primary winding having intermediate pins is connected to the terminals of the power supply network with its initial terminal by means of controllable switches and connected to the second terminal of the supply network by means of control keys, is designed in such a way that the remaining terminals of the primary winding of the booster transformer are also connected via the additional controllable switches to the first terminal of the supply network.
EFFECT: increased discreteness of voltage regulation levels at the output of a single-phase AC voltage regulator without distortion of the sinusoidal voltage form and, consequently, without degrading the quality of electrical energy in the load and in the supply network.
