SUBSTANCE: invention relates to voltage regulators of transformers under load and can be used in electrical networks to provide various modes of operation of the transformer voltage regulator under load. The expected result is achieved by the fact that in the method for controlling the modes of operation of the transformer voltage regulator under load, which consists in using the voltage regulation mode on the secondary winding of the transformer, carried out by controlling the state of bidirectional thyristor keys, connected to the taps of the sections of the primary winding of the transformer, monitoring the current and voltage of the supply network, fixing time intervals at which the voltage and current of the supply network have the same and different signs, measuring the phase shift between the current and voltage of the supply network, controlling bidirectional thyristor keys at corresponding fixed time intervals, in the mode of no voltage regulation on the secondary winding of the transformer, implemented when the bidirectional thyristor keys are switched off, the primary winding of the transformer is connected to the supply network using a relay with normally closed contacts, when switching to the voltage regulation mode on the secondary winding of the transformer, the corresponding bidirectional thyristor keys of the voltage regulator are switched on in parallel with the relay with normally closed contacts and the relay contacts with normally closed contacts are opened, and when exiting the voltage regulation mode on the secondary winding of the transformer, the corresponding bidirectional thyristor keys are turned on in parallel with the relay with normally closed contacts, the relay contacts with normally closed contacts are closed and the bidirectional thyristor keys of the voltage regulator are turned off, switching the voltage regulator to the mode of no voltage regulation on the secondary winding of the transformer.

EFFECT: expanding the functionality for controlling the modes of operation of the transformer voltage regulator under load and in increasing the reliability of the transformer voltage regulator under load in various modes of its operation.
