FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of analytical chemistry and can be used to determine synthetic dyes E124 (Ponso 4R), E102 (Tartrazine), E133 (Blue shiny FCF) in confectionery products for their analytical control in the food industry, as well as in laboratories for quality control of consumer goods. Method for determining the content of synthetic dyes in confectionery products is to pre-grind a sample, dissolve it in distilled water, introduction into the solution of a sorbent, which is a transparent polymethylmethacrylate plate, after extraction, a spectrophotometric measurement of its light absorption is carried out at a wavelength corresponding to the maximum absorption of each dye. Concentration of the dye is estimated from the graphical dependence of the dye concentration on the light absorption of the polymethylmethacrylate plate, previously constructed from the known concentrations of the dye solution in water.
EFFECT: simplified and accelerated determination of the concentration of synthetic dyes in confectionery products without the use of toxic substances.
