FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to analytical chemistry and can be used for solid phase extraction tetramethyl-4,4-diaminotriphenylmethane (malachite green) from aqueous solutions. Method for solid phase extraction of malachite green dye involves reaction of a polymer matrix with cross-linked internal structure with an analyte, its further separation from solution and estimating concentration of analyte. Polymer matrix with cross-linked internal structure used is an optical membrane based on transparent polymethacrylate matrix. Analytical signal is presented in form of light absorption at 638 nm of colour coordinate or visual evaluation of colour intensity of optical membrane. Estimation of amount of extracted malachite green dye is carried out using a calibration curve and/or colour scale plotted for reference concentrations.
EFFECT: technical result is possibility of using multiple versions of measuring analytical signal of optical membrane based on transparent polymethacrylate matrix for quantitative estimation of content of malachite green dye.
