FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to X-ray and endovascular diagnosis and treatment, and is intended for use in the implementation of angiography and endovascular occlusion of the bronchial and intercostal branches of the thoracic aorta. Determine the transverse lumen of the thoracic aorta at the level of 4–6 thoracic vertebrae. For catheterization of the bronchial and intercostal branches of the thoracic aorta, the length of the distal segment of the working part of the catheter is chosen based on the obtained value before the first angulation of the angiographic bronchial catheter (segment-S1) begins. With a transverse lumen of the thoracic aorta 17–21 mm, a catheter having a segment length of S1 17 mm is used. With a transverse lumen of the thoracic aorta 22–25 mm, a catheter having a segment length of S1 of 20 mm is used. With a transverse lumen of the thoracic aorta of 26–30 mm, a catheter having a segment length of S1 23 mm is used. With a transverse lumen of the thoracic aorta 31–35 mm, a catheter having a segment length S1 of 25 mm is used.
EFFECT: achieved technical result is a reduction in the risk of complications caused by catheterization of the bronchial and intercostal branches of the thoracic aorta of small diameter, due to reduction of the time of X-ray irradiation and the volume of the radiocontrast substance introduced into vascular bed of the patient, minimizing the risk of damage to mouths of the bronchial and intercostal arteries, as well as the development of reflux of microemboli from the mouths of embolisable branches of the thoracic aorta.
