FIELD: engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to operation of nickel-hydrogen accumulator batteries in autonomous power supply systems (PSS) of spacecrafts (SC), operating at low Earth orbit. In compliance with permanently controlled unbalance parameters AB accumulators, using data of at least three analog pressure sensors located in different cells of each AB to calculate equivalent current capacitance. Treating dependence of equivalent capacitance of time at given time interval set maximum charge level of AB, using calculation algorithm PSS. Compared values of equivalent capacitance of AB and capacity, measured telemetering sensor prior to AB forming cycle, and for performing comparative analysis are selected at specified light section of SC orbit of current value capacitance and maximum value of equivalent capacitance of AB, value of relative spread of values of capacitance of AB degree of unbalance of accumulators as to capacity.
EFFECT: invention ensures increased service life of storage batteries, as well as survivability of PSS.
