FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to research and analysis of material properties by measuring the forces of elementary cutting and can be used to determine the physical and mechanical properties and macroscopic structure of various materials, in particular wood, and also in studying the power characteristics of the processes of mechanical simple and complex cutting. Essence: determine the components of the cutting force for rectilinear cutting of the specimen with a wedge-shaped cutter. Tangential, radial and lateral forces are measured by tensile and compression measuring sensors. Output parameters of the tensile and compression force measuring sensors are digitized by an analog-to-digital converter and transmitted to the computer in the form of digital signals for processing, display and data management. Device contains a wedge-shaped cutter fixed in the holder, a drive and a screw mechanism for pushing the cutting tool onto the material. Working part of the device consists of a holder, pendulum rod, boom and movable carriage, which are connected together in the same sequence by means of hinges, and the measuring system of the device includes sensors for measuring force and compression, analog-to-digital converter and computer.
EFFECT: technical result: increasing accuracy and automation of measurement of the three main (tangential, radial and lateral) components of the cutting forces, increasing the discreteness of measurements, reducing the time and simplifying the procedures for converting, recording, processing received data with subsequent playback.
