FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of systems for ensuring the operational safety of a laser. Essence: the system comprises a power supply module directly connected to an alternating current source and comprising a galvanically isolated DC voltage converter with an output capacitance and a safety mechanism. Safety mechanism has first and second safety channels that operate independently of one another to switch the power supply module between normal operation and safe mode. In normal operation, the DC output is characterized by a high voltage. In safe mode, the DC output is characterized by a low voltage, which is below the high voltage. Each of the security channels includes a tripping circuit designed to disconnect the DC voltage converter, and a discharge circuit designed to discharge the output container. As a result of disconnecting the DC voltage converter from the network and discharging the output capacitance, the power supply module goes into safe mode.
EFFECT: absence of elements subject to wear, speed of bringing systems into the ready state, no additional energy losses.
