Power source with solar panels for street lighting providing protection against failure of high capacity lithium batteries due to drop of the work characteristics at critical low temperatures includes module containing multiple solar panels for photoelectric conversion of the light energy to the electric energy; main battery of lithium secondary current sources charged by direct current generated by the module of solar panels, and ensuring power supply of the street lighting devices; heating and thermal protection device of main battery; secondary power source for the heating device keeping operability at critical low temperatures; regulator of the main battery charging by direct current generated by the module of solar panels; temperature sensor of main battery; and system controller to control secondary power source of the heater at temperature below the set minimum value.

EFFECT: increased operation reliability of the power source at low temperatures.
