METHOD FOR RADAR IMAGING USING THE RADAR STATION WITH THE SYNTHESIZED APERTURE Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC G01S13/90

Abstract RU 2661941 C1

FIELD: radiolocation and radio navigation; image forming devices.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to methods for radar imaging (RI) of a surface in the course of remote earth probing (REP) using the synthetic aperture radars (SARs). In the method, a coherent summation of the echoes is carried out taking into account the actual geometry of the scene and the carrier platform, independently of the result of each radar observation with the adjustment of the phase shift to the reconstruction of the scene elements. Method does not require separate motion compensation or measures in order to compensate for range migration. Processing of input signals in the time domain allows to optimize the computations in the RI construction. Optimization is performed by means of parallelizing of the processing, as well as by means of binarization of the convolution bearing function.

EFFECT: improved quality of radar imaging in comparison with traditional methods, which use data processing in the frequency domain, as well as adapting the algorithm for the radar imaging for it to be effectively implemented at the multithreaded computers.
