FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metallurgy, in particular to the preparation of an oxide coating on blanks from deformable titanium alloys used for the production of sheets by the hot rolling of multilayer bags. Method for producing an oxide coating on blanks from deformable titanium alloys involves the preparation of a slurry, applying a slurry to the surface of the preforms, and then heating. Suspension is prepared from a mixture of calcium oxalates and magnesium in a weight ratio (49–51):(51–49) in an aqueous solution of polyvinyl alcohol with a suspension of an oxalate mixture of 18–35 % by weight, the suspension on the surface of the preforms is applied in a thickness of 1.2–1.8 mm, and the subsequent heating of the preforms is carried out at a temperature above 800 °C to obtain an oxide coating with a thickness of 0.4–0.5 mm.
EFFECT: producing on the workpieces of deformable titanium alloys a separation coating of an oxide material having sufficient inertness to titanium and temperature flow, which excludes the appearance of surface defects in the form of prints.
