FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and a tire pressure monitoring system mounted on the wheel rim of an exploited vehicle. Method comprises the following steps: measuring temperature (Tm) of the vehicle immediate environment; estimating weight (Me) of the vehicle; measuring at least the first oscillation frequency (Fm1) of the tire in the first frequency range and a second frequency of oscillations (Fm2) of tire in the second frequency range and determining the tire pressure (Pc) in terms of the measured first (Fm1) and second (Fm2) range of vibration frequencies and temperature (Tm), along with the vehicle estimated weight (Me).
EFFECT: increased reliability and accuracy of tire pressure control.
